In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an unique katana in addition to several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
