Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are urging that a individual who jumped a barrier and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the Australian man pushing past media personnel and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a event pathway flanked by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Troll Most Hated", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account features videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" another Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further response on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of supporters had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two very different characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, earning two for outstanding attire and set decoration.
