I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
