The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with using the full worth of immobilized Russian assets to aid the Ukrainian war effort, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has stated.

In a collective announcement, the officials of the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this unified step would escalate tension on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and compel the Russian Federation to participate in talks.

They added that the initiative would be executed in close cooperation with the America.

British restrictions have blocked in excess of £25bn of Russian funds since Russia launched its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. But, previously, resources provided to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had exclusively been sourced from earnings and returns accrued on them.
