NFL 2025 season: Week six

Live coverage features live text of Sunday's games on multiple platforms, starting with the Broncos-Jets clash in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard through designated networks for another key matchup (from 21:00 BST).

It's week six of the football calendar , after last week's talk about two top teams being possible championship contenders, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Striking in those games were the number of penalties each committed. Philadelphia committed them in key moments meaning they kind of beat themselves having led 17-3 going into the fourth period against the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this Sunday.

However it was positive to observe that Denver's QB the rookie managed to overcome that deficit and then direct three successful possessions in three attempts during the final period, to win the victory 21-17.

The Broncos have the defensive player of the year in CB Pat Surtain II. They rank first in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, and Denver won that contest.

They had the Eagles' number regarding simulated pressure. They did not always rushing more than four defenders instead they could plug two LBs in the interior then drop them out and send a nickel off the edge.

Early on in the campaign, it was noted during a show how the Broncos could be this season's dark horses. They ended last season strongly and did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's underdog story?

New TE their tight end has stepped up big while recent running back their rusher is a guy they believe in. He's currently fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) as well as tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).

It's impressive how head coach Sean Payton displays "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.

That shows how Denver are a team that wants to prioritize the run, because one can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces down the pass rush and maintains in positive down and distances.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who entered into the league as a first-round selection last year, passing for 29 TDs – second only to Justin Herbert for the rookie record (31 back in 2020).

Other elite QBs possess the arm strength to pass all over, but they lack the mobility as Nix. He has exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, plus he is highly agile.

His assets include his movement, being able to throw on the run, and using different arm angles to make the pass as he moves outside protection, the bootlegs. He is able to deliver precision throws over the middle or over the corner.

As a rookie QB, at 25, he's got a lot of poise under pressure and isn't bothered by the blitz. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and can pass under pressure. He possesses a high football IQ and is very decisive.

When you constantly run the ball it eats up time and makes the defence to stay on the field extended periods, and if you have a mobile QB the defence must cover the area downfield and horizontally. This proves draining.

Nix has pushed back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and it seems the coach likes that fire, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's fun for him to have a young quarterback that is similar to moldable clay. He can really build something up the way he desires to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for him.

The head coach owns a championship and now passed Bill Parcells in all-time victories (173, tying for 14th). He has witnessed everything. In my opinion the achievements Denver are having offensively is mostly due to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix aids make him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to help you during some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.

I believe in the Broncos' defense, in Bo Nix's tenacity and composure. But are they good enough to face an elite team at full strength? Because that was not a Super Bowl performance from Philadelphia in their last game.

Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're working above average, that's a solid position to hold their division. All they need to do is maintain this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their strength, that is the ground game, and this is precisely what they must do against the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 rushing yards per game (among the worst), five rushing touchdowns so far (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team yet to win any game.

Ever since the NFL began tracking turnovers in 1933, this team are the first team to go without a single takeaway in five outings, this is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn defensive co-ordinator with another team.

Patrick Mahomes says the Chiefs are off to a poor start after a recent loss by the Jaguars.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate until their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders before the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at their division, Kansas City hold a losing record while Denver are even with the Chargers at 3-2 so they could make a run for the top of the division.

It depends on which form of the Chiefs they meet because Denver {beat|def
